At Wildly Radical,
adventure is a tool for inner transformation rather than just endurance.

One of the biggest barriers for women entering bikepacking is the high cost of gear. To solve this, we are creating a community Gear Library.

This means first-time riders can experience their first journey without a massive upfront investment. You bring the bike; we bring the gear and the guidance.

The Destination: Hoopinkai Farm

We leave Indiranagar behind for Hoopinkai Farm & Forest Retreat.

A private, 100-acre forest sanctuary nestled just 1.5 hours away from the bustling city of Bangalore. Situated near Dobbspet, Nelamangala, our farm offers a serene retreat from the urban hustle, with easy accessibility via the Dobbabalapur highway.

Just an overnight tent stay, farm-to-table organic meals, and a lakeside bonfire.

This is where we learn, reflect, and reset.

Meet Your Mentor: Chandrika Venkatesh

Chandrika is a veteran outdoor educator who has spent the last six years leading high-stakes, self-sustained expeditions in some of the world's most remote environments. Since 2019, she has instructed for NOLS (National Outdoor Leadership School) and Outward Bound, teaching everything from backcountry risk management to dog sledding and whitewater kayaking.

Her relationship with cycling is rooted in long-form, human-powered travel most recently completing a three-week, solo, self-supported bikepacking journey across Japan.

Despite her background in extreme environments, Chandrika is deeply committed to the "Nidhana" (slow) approach. She uses her expertise in expedition logistics and risk management to create safe, inclusive spaces where women can dismantle "gear anxiety" and self-doubt. For her, the Ooru Outbound is an invitation to learn-by-doing, guided by someone who knows exactly what it takes to thrive on the trail.

The Route

Indiranagar

Hoopinkai Farm  retreat

We got your back
  • 07:30 | The Assembly (Indiranagar): We meet at our city base for a hands-on session. Every rider is fitted with the Scott Gear Library adjusting frame bags and weight distribution for a balanced 70km journey.

  • The Sanchara (5 Hours): We bypass the highways, opting for the "Matti" (dirt) roads and rural village routes. This is where the Scott bikes prove their worth—handling the transition from tarmac to trail with ease.

  • 14:00 | Arrival at Hoopinkai: We reach Hoopinkai Farm & Forest Retreat, a 100-acre sustainable sanctuary. After a local farm-to-table lunch, riders freshen up and begin the "First Pitch" learning to set up their own camp for the night.

  • The Masterclass: Led by Chandrika, we dive into the "Why" of bikepacking. We discuss the technical advantage of Scott gear in self-reliant travel and the skills needed to navigate the wild.

  • Evening | Lakeside Koota: A campfire by the rainwater harvesting lake. A space for storytelling, community, and the quiet shift that happens when the city noise stops.

  • Sunday Return: After a farmstead breakfast and a "Gear Breakdown" workshop, we ride back to the city, arriving by evening.

4x4 Support Vehicle

A dedicated backup vehicle follows the group to carry heavy camping gear and provide emergency support.

Hi, I’m Sudhanshu
founder of Wildly Radical.

I started Wildly Radical as a way to bring intentionality,

slowness, and inner shift into the world of adventure.

After years of cycling through the Himalayas solo,

I realised that bikepacking is more than sport it’s a path to transformation.

Zanskar is one of the rawest, most powerful landscapes I’ve ridden through. This trip is about reconnecting with yourself, with nature, and with the edge of what you think you can do.
