Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 03/04/2026
These terms govern your booking with Wildly Radical, operated by Wildly Radical (sole proprietorship), Flat 201, The Grand Fortune Apartment, Sirsi Road, Hathoj Mod, Jaipur, Rajasthan 30212, India. GSTIN: 08BAMPV8856N1ZE.
Please read section 6 carefully. It covers the risks of high-altitude expedition travel and the limits of our responsibility. By booking, you confirm you've read and accepted it.
1. Booking and confirmation
A booking is confirmed only when we have received your deposit and sent you written confirmation. Until both have happened, no place is held for you.
Your deposit confirms you have read these terms, the trip's fitness requirements, and its itinerary.
2. Payment
Deposit amounts and balance deadlines vary by trip and are stated on each trip page. As a general structure:
- Deposit: ₹15,000 to ₹35,000 depending on the expedition, payable at booking
- Balance: due 25 to 60 days before departure, as specified for your trip
- Bookings made inside the balance window: full payment required at the time of booking
If the balance is not received by the deadline, we may treat the booking as cancelled and retain the deposit under section 3.
All prices are in Indian Rupees. Whether GST is included or additional is stated on each trip page.
3. Cancellation by you
Cancellations must be sent in writing to wildlyradical@gmail.com. The date we receive your email is the cancellation date.
Deposits are non-refundable. However — and this is a deliberate choice on our part — your deposit is fully transferable to the same or an equivalent trip in the following season if your plans change. Transfers are subject to availability and must be used within 12 months of your original departure date.
Refunds on the balance amount, by when we receive your cancellation:
- More than 60 days before departure — 100% of the balance paid
- 30–60 days before departure — 50% of the balance paid
- 15–29 days before departure — 25% of the balance paid
- Fewer than 15 days before departure — no refund
- No-show, or departure after the trip begins — no refund
You may transfer your place to another person up to 21 days before departure, provided they meet the fitness requirements and we can amend their permits in time. A transfer fee may apply to cover permit and administrative costs.
We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers cancellation. See section 5.
4. Cancellation or change by us
Minimum numbers. Our trips run with small groups. If a trip doesn't reach its minimum, we may cancel it. We'll tell you at least 30 days before departure and offer you a full refund of everything you've paid, or a transfer to another trip.
Circumstances beyond our control. Himalayan travel is subject to conditions no operator controls: landslides, road closures, snow, flooding, earthquakes, extreme weather, permit refusals or changes in government policy, restricted-area closures, civil unrest, strikes, pandemic restrictions, or any comparable event.
If we cancel a trip for these reasons before departure, we'll refund what you've paid minus any costs we've already committed and cannot recover — permits, advance accommodation payments, vehicle bookings, and similar. We'll show you what those costs were. Where possible we'll offer a credit toward a future trip instead of a partial refund, and most riders prefer that.
Itinerary changes. We may alter routes, accommodation, or the daily schedule when safety, weather, road conditions, or rider welfare require it. Our guides make these calls in the field and their decision is final. Changes of this kind do not entitle you to a refund. We will always try to preserve the character and the highlights of the trip.
Abandoning a trip in progress. If conditions force us to end a trip early, we'll get you to the nearest safe town and assist with onward arrangements. We are not able to refund the unused portion, and we cannot cover your flights, extra accommodation, or changed travel arrangements. This is exactly what travel insurance is for.
5. Travel insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all riders on all expeditions.
Your policy must cover, at minimum:
- Trip cancellation and curtailment
- Emergency medical treatment
- Emergency evacuation, including helicopter evacuation, at altitudes up to 6,000 metres
- Cycling and adventure activities at high altitude
- Loss or damage to personal equipment, including bicycles
Many standard travel policies exclude cycling above a certain altitude. Check yours specifically. We may ask for your policy number and insurer details before departure and may refuse participation without them.
If you travel uninsured, you do so entirely at your own risk and remain personally liable for the full cost of any medical treatment or evacuation.
6. Assumption of risk, health, and fitness
Understand what you're signing up for.
Our expeditions take place in remote high-altitude terrain, on rough and unpaved roads, at elevations that reach and exceed 5,000 metres — up to 5,883 metres on the Umling La expedition. These are inherently risky activities. Risks include, but are not limited to: acute mountain sickness, high-altitude pulmonary and cerebral oedema, hypothermia, dehydration, sunburn and snow blindness, falls and cycling accidents, vehicle accidents on mountain roads, rockfall and landslide, river crossings, animal encounters, extreme and rapidly changing weather, and the effects of being many hours or days from medical care.
Medical facilities in these regions are limited. Evacuation can be delayed or impossible in poor weather. Serious injury and death are possible.
By booking, you confirm that:
- You are 18 or older, or booked by a parent or legal guardian who accepts these terms on your behalf
- You have honestly disclosed all relevant medical conditions, medications, and allergies
- You have consulted a doctor about your fitness for sustained physical exertion at high altitude
- You meet the fitness requirements stated on your trip page and have trained accordingly
- You accept these risks voluntarily and with full knowledge of them
You must tell us in writing about any change in your health between booking and departure. Failure to disclose a material medical condition may result in refusal to participate, with no refund, and may invalidate your insurance.
Our guides may require you to stop riding, descend, or leave the trip if in their judgement your health, fitness, or conduct puts you or the group at risk. That judgement is final and made in the interest of safety. No refund is due in these circumstances.
7. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Valid passport, visa, and any permits we do not explicitly arrange
- Arriving at the trip start point on time and at your own cost
- Your personal cycling equipment, helmet, and clothing
- Riding within your ability and following your guide's instructions
- Behaving in a way that doesn't endanger, harass, or spoil the trip for others
- Respecting local communities, customs, monasteries, and the environment
- The cost of any damage you cause to accommodation, vehicles, or rented equipment
Helmets are compulsory while riding. No exceptions.
We may remove any rider from a trip for behaviour that is dangerous, abusive, illegal, or persistently disruptive. No refund is due, and onward travel is at your own cost and arrangement.
8. Rented equipment
Bicycles and equipment rented from us remain our property. You are responsible for reasonable care and for the cost of repair or replacement if lost, stolen, or damaged beyond normal wear. Inspect rented equipment at handover and raise any concern before you ride.
9. Limitation of liability
We take safety seriously and run our trips with experienced crew, support vehicles, first aid, and — where stated — supplementary oxygen. But we cannot guarantee your safety in this terrain, and there are limits to what we can be responsible for.
To the fullest extent permitted by Indian law:
- We are not liable for injury, illness, death, loss, or damage arising from the inherent risks of high-altitude expedition travel described in section 6, or from your own acts, omissions, or non-disclosure.
- We are not liable for acts or omissions of third parties — airlines, homestays, hotels, independent drivers, medical providers — whose services you use in connection with the trip.
- We are not liable for loss caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, as described in section 4.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including missed flights, missed work, or lost enjoyment.
- Where we are found liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the trip.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our proven gross negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other applicable Indian law.
10. Photography
We photograph and film during trips. By joining, you consent to us using images in which you appear for promotional purposes, without payment. If you'd prefer not to be featured, tell us in writing before or during the trip and we'll honour it.
11. Intellectual property
All content on this website — text, photographs, video, route descriptions, itineraries, and design — belongs to Wildly Radical and is protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, republish, or use it commercially without our written permission.
12. Complaints
If something goes wrong, tell your guide immediately so we have the chance to fix it during the trip. If it isn't resolved, write to wildlyradical@gmail.com within 30 days of your trip ending, and we'll respond within 30 days of receiving it.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at [JURISDICTION CITY], India.
We'd rather resolve things by talking. Both parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution directly before starting formal proceedings.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version in effect on the date of your booking is the one that applies to you.
